Snow removal conditions
Full season contracts run from November 1 to April 15.
Seasonal snow removal terms and conditions
Snow Aurora will provide snow removal services for the signed clients to the address given for the winter season in accordance with the following conditions:
- Salting and Ice Contractor is not responsible for salting or sanding and assumes no liability for icy or slippery conditions. The client is responsible for ice management and de-icing. The client is required to salt the property after it has been serviced. This helps address icy and slippery conditions and assists in melting any additional snow that may be blown onto the property by high winds days after the snow event. Salt bags can be purchased at your local hardware store.
- Snowfall Coverage Contractor covers snowfalls of over 1.75 inches, not cumulative snow over several days. Snow plowing will begin when 70% of the forecasted snow has fallen. This agreement includes snow plowing from November 1 to April 15.
- Response Times For snowfalls between 1.75 and 4 inches, snow will be cleared within 8 hours after the snowfall ends. For snowfalls greater than 4 inches (which may require more than one visit), crews will make the first pass within 4 hours after the snowfall ends. The second visit may take up to 8 hours after the snowfall ends. Note that weather, traffic or equipment issues may occasionally cause delays.
- Windrows Snow plowing includes removal of snow left by township street plows causing blockage to your driveway (windrow over 6 inches). Windrow snow clearing left by township plows will be completed after primary and secondary roads have been plowed. It may take up to 24 hours after the end of a snowstorm for windrows to be cleared.
- Client Responsibilities The client is responsible for, but not limited to: buildup resulting from sidewalk plows, snowfall less than 1.75 inches, freezing rain (ice pellets) and drifting snow caused by high winds. The client is responsible for clearing all walkways and clearing snow a minimum of 2 feet away from the garage doors. This allows the operator to pull snow back using the plow blade.
- Operator Only Service The property will be serviced as an operator only stop, meaning no hand shoveling will be performed on the property. During snow events, please ensure all vehicles are either parked inside the garage or positioned as close as possible to the garage door on the side opposite the walkway. If you have more than one vehicle, please park them in tandem (one behind the other). To ensure safe operation, plow operators maintain a minimum clearance of approximately 6 to 12 inches from driveway markers and 12 to 16 inches from parked vehicles, garage doors and buildings during service. We do not perform hand shoveling between parked vehicles, as we maintain a safe distance from vehicles while using both plow trucks and shovels.
- Driveway Markers Includes two driveway snow markers (if applicable) installed mid October and removed in late April. Please do not discard your snow markers. If you need to remove them early, place them on the side of your garage or house and contact us by email to request pickup. Snow markers are the property of Snow Aurora. If any markers are lost or misplaced, the client will be billed $15 per marker.
- Property Surfaces Contractor is not responsible for incidental damages to the ground or interlocking surfaces.
- Payment and Registration Payment must be made in full before servicing the address given. New clients who register during an active snowfall will be scheduled for service within 1 to 2 business days after their order has been processed. Once processed, the agreement is non-refundable. The contract is non-transferable. Charges may apply for extra services.
- Indemnity The contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless the owner, its agents and employees from any claims for bodily injury, death or damage to tangible personal property but only where such damages result from the contractor's negligence or breach of this agreement. This applies only if the owner provides written notice of the claim within a reasonable time, and no later than 48 hours after becoming aware of the incident. The owner waives the right to indemnify from the contractor, except in cases where the contractor negligence or breach of this agreement caused the damage. In all other cases, the owner shall indemnify and hold harmless the contractor, its agents and employees from such claims.

Windrow snow clearing terms and conditions
- Season Snow Aurora provides windrow snow clearing from November 1, 2026, through April 15, 2027.
- Scope of Service Service is limited to clearing the ridge of snow left by municipal road plows across the accessible width of the driveway entrance, subject to safe equipment clearances, when the windrow reaches a height of 6 inches or more. This trigger is based on windrow height, not total snowfall accumulation. Clearing the remainder of the driveway, garage door areas, walkways, steps and windrows left by sidewalk plows is not included. This is an operator only service and no hand shoveling will be performed.
- Scheduling and Timing Windrow clearing is scheduled after municipal plows have completed primary and secondary roads and may take up to 24 hours after the end of a snowstorm. On rare occasions continued municipal plowing, severe weather, traffic, road closures, equipment issues or unsafe conditions may extend this timeframe. The contractor will notify the client of significant delays. Service follows an established route and is not scheduled around individual departure or arrival times.
- Service Visits One windrow clearing visit is included per qualifying snowstorm.
- Access and Obstructions The client must keep the driveway entrance and work area clear of vehicles, bins and other obstructions. People and pets must remain a safe distance from operating equipment. If access is blocked or unsafe, the affected area may be left uncleared. The contractor will notify the client if service cannot be completed. A separate return visit may be subject to an additional charge agreed to in advance.
- Snow Storage Snow will be placed in a suitable location on the property adjacent to the driveway entrance. The client must provide sufficient space for snow storage. Snow hauling and relocation of existing piles are not included. If available storage becomes insufficient, the contractor will notify the client to arrange a solution before further work can safely proceed.
- Surface Conditions and Ice Snow clearing with a plow may leave residual snow, packed snow or ice. Bare pavement and ice free conditions are not guaranteed. The contractor does not provide residential salting, sanding or de-icing services and does not monitor conditions between visits. The client is responsible for monitoring conditions and performing or arranging any necessary ice treatment, including salting after service. The client is responsible for windrows below the 6-inch height trigger, buildup from sidewalk plows, drifting snow caused by high winds, freezing rain and ice pellets.
- Driveway Markers Two driveway snow markers will be supplied where applicable. Markers are normally installed in mid October and removed in late April. Installation for later registrations will be arranged after the order is processed. Markers remain the property of Snow Aurora and must not be discarded. If removed early, they must be stored beside the garage or house, and the client must contact the contractor by email to arrange pickup. The client will be billed $15 per marker lost or misplaced while in their care.
- Property Hazards Before service begins, the client must identify and mark concealed obstacles within or beside the work area, including raised pavement, retaining walls, landscaping and drainage features. The client must notify the contractor of changes or hazards that could affect safe operation. The contractor is not responsible for incidental damage to the ground or interlocking surfaces caused by its windrow clearing operations.
- Payment and Registration Payment must be made in full before service begins. New clients registering during an active snowfall will be scheduled for service within 1 to 2 business days after their order has been processed. This initial scheduling period takes precedence over the normal service timeframe. This agreement is non-transferable unless the contractor agrees otherwise in writing. Once the order is processed, payment is non-refundable.
- Additional Services Work outside the scope of these terms requires a separate agreement. Any additional charges must be approved by the client before the work begins.
By checking the acceptance box at checkout, the client or authorized representative confirms that they have read and accepted these terms and conditions and intends this action to serve as their electronic signature. Thank you for choosing Snow Aurora.
